Lovely spacious cottage in great location
This is a lovely cottage in a great location. Braithwaite is a lovely village with a great village shop on the doorstep (fresh bread, cakes and a little tea shop) and friendly pubs. You can walk or cycle from the door and never need to use the car all week. The bus service is also good. The cottage is comfortable, warm and lots of space to store muddy clothes and bikes. The owners were really friendly and helpful and left lots of useful bits and pieces. There is parking outside for two medium sized cars, any bigger and you'd need to park the second in the village which is a few minutes walk. We would definitely return here.

Thank you for your fabulous review, we are delighted that you enjoyed your stay at Rose Bank Cottage! The owner maintains the property beautifully and it's wonderful that they were also able to help you during your holiday. Braithwaite is a little gem of a village and the roads round that part make for some fabulous cycling, hopefully you had some good weather for it! We hope to host you for your next Lakeland break :-) Best wishes, Keswick Cottages

Comfortable stay
Enjoyed our first stay at Rose Bank Cottage, immediately noticed the cleanliness of our accommodation and attention to the little extras not always provided in some properties (hand soaps, toilet rolls, kitchen bits etc) Views from back garden were relaxing, a visiting pheasant looking for bird seed from feeder and walks straight from cottage door a bonus. Twin bed mattresses were very comfortable and we were favoured with good weather for late September which is the icing on the cake really. Village shop with friendly staff a few minutes walk away stocked a variety of items and a choice of welcoming pubs/restaurants were within walking distance or a short drive. One restaurant had the best sticky toffee pudding I’ve ever tasted!

Thank you so much for your review of Rose Bank Cottage! We are delighted that you enjoyed your first stay here and that you immediately noticed the cleanliness and the extra special touches. The views from the garden are stunning and there are plenty of walks to choose from straight from the front door. We're so glad you found the twin bed mattresses very comfortable and that you had good weather too! W hope you enjoyed exploring the village of Braithwaite and further afield, we wonder where you went for your sticky toffee pudding! We hope to welcome you back again! Best Wishes, Keswick Cottages

The garden is beautiful and loved the sound of the babbling brook at the end of the garden. The upstairs was light and airy with fabulous views. Very clean and with lovely decor.
Rose Bank is a beautiful cottage, very well presented and as comfortable as it at first appears. The gorgeous back garden overlooking the fields and the fells completes the idyllic picture. As frequent holiday residents of Rose Bank we certainly appreciate its fantastic location but having stayed in other places over the last year I will never cease to appreciate all the little things about this holiday cottage that really make a difference. From reliable Wi-Fi and TV to immediate hot water regardless of how many showers required to a well equipped kitchen and an oven so incredibly clean it's amazing! Not to mention the books and jigsaws for that rainy day. This cottage is so well equipped the owners seem to have thought of everything to make for a very pleasant, enjoyable stay. Highly recommended.
Great location, loads of walks, hikes and trail runs straight from the doorstep. Nice enclosed garden for the dogs. A few local pubs and all serve food and dog friendly. A local store for all the essentials. Keswick is a nice walk if you need anything else, but also easy to jump on the bus or use the car.
