Spa Cottage
Very nice stay. Bath and shower were difficult as I'm very tall and my wife has limited movement. Fridge is also tricky for tall people. Otherwise great

Thank you for your lovely review! We're really glad that you had a nice stay, it's a gorgeous Lakeland cottage. Thank you also for your feedback, guest insight is invaluable so we will pass this on to the owner and keep in mind for future bookings. We look forward to hosting you again soon. A pleasant cottage in a lovely area .
Braithwaite is a very pleasant, picturesque village on the bus route to Keswick , as well as other walking destinations. If I could put it in my pocket and take it home, I would. The village shop is very useful and the owner kindly offered to open it up for us after it was closed when we arrived after an eleven- hour drive.(Warm croissants , fresh bread ( both baked on site ) and milk , fresh orange juice etc.or you can buy brunch there.) The cottage is cosy and we found it warm and clean ( July). Unusual for Keswick was the pretty seating area in the well- maintained garden, with pretty shrubs / flowers round the terraced area. The owner arrived to put a new sunshade up while we were there which we thought a nice touch. With someone’s large vintage car ( not moved while we were there ) parked partly across Spa’s space outside, parking in the dark/ wet was tricky some days and we drove round the corner to the chapel, as indicated in the guidance booklet in the cottage. (We knew where the guidance meant, but a simple map showing the lane would help people who don’t know the village. ) Apart from that, there is -generally - good- natured give and take by other cottage- users and owners. The kitchen can be a challenge if you cannot reach the microwave and have an ICD so can’t use the hob - my very good- natured husband sighed but cooked. I owe him. If we stayed again we would plan one or two- pot cooking.

Thank you for your review of Spa Cottage! We are so happy you found the village of Braithwaite pleasant and picturesque. The village shop is a great addition to the village. We are so glad you found the cottage warm and clean. The garden area is a lovely feature of the cottage and perfect to enjoy the sunshine. We hope you had a wonderful time and we hope to welcome you back! Best Wishes, Keswick Cottages

Great cottage, beautiful location, everything you could need.
It is a lovely, modern cottage. The beds are very comfortable. Very clean and full of useful things. The area is beautiful, worth to go to see.
In over 30 years of renting cottages this was one of the nicest we've stayed in. Braithwaite is perfecting for hiking in the Northern Lakes with lots of walks from the cottage and the advantage over many other villages of having a shop, 2 cafes, 2 pubs and 2 separate restaurants only a few minutes walk away. That said, the village is very quiet so the cottage location is not in a busy area despite being opposite the shop. Parking on the streets also wasn't a problem. The cottage was beautifully decorated with a lovely mixture of modern conveniences but characterful features and very well equipped. There were also stunning views from the front and back gardens. Can't recommend highly enough.
