Description

Tucked away on the edge of Keswick, this private peaceful haven makes an ideal base for exploring all the Lake District has to offer.

As you enter the property you will find yourself in the the heart of the accommodation; the open plan kitchen, dining room and living room offers ample space to gather and socialise with friends and family. The impressive kitchen will certainly tempt you to cook and dine in during your stay. Here you will find everything you need and more; double ovens, warming tray, electric hob with extractor, full size fridge and freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, and wine cooler. There is plenty of counter space, storage in cupboards and even a pantry.

The large dining table makes for the perfect place to gather together and enjoy a hearty home cooked meal, or a place to spread out your maps and guidebooks ready to plan the next adventure. The living room is furnished with two comfortable sofas, easy chair and TV, but the focal point of the room is most definitely the patio doors leading out to an enclosed terrace, where the breath-taking tranquillity and uninterrupted fell views can be enjoyed with your morning coffee.

Moving through to the hallway, you will find a utility space with sink on the right, ideal for storing coats and boots. There is also a small room with cuddle chair, footstool and nest of tables perfectly positioned toward the patio doors so you can enjoy a quiet moment admiring the views.

There are three comfortable bedrooms. The first has a king size bed and ensuite with shower over a bath, the second bedroom has a double bed with ensuite shower room, and the third bedroom has two single beds. All rooms are well furnished with quality mattresses, luxury white bed linen and towels. There is underfloor heating throughout. There is a further modern shower room off the hallway.

Visitors will not need to worry about where to leave the car, there is ample private parking conveniently next to the entrance.

The outdoor space makes a lovely spot for relaxing with a good book or dining alfresco. Hot tub hire is available (add on extras page)

Keswick offers plenty of options to keep you occupied during your stay. For walkers the Keswick to Threlkeld Railway Trial which starts next to the Keswick Leisure centre is a 5 kilometre (10 kilometre there and back) walk along what was once a railway track. It offers beautiful views and is a multi-user trial suitable for pushchairs, wheelchairs and mobility scooters. If you fancy something with a little more elevation and spectacular views, Latrigg and Walla Crag can be reached from your doorstep, and you can even tick off some Wainwrights! 10 minutes out of Keswick is Whinlatter forest, which offers a huge selection of walks and outdoor activities.

Keswick itself offers lots of amenities, from shops to cafés, pubs to theatres, you will be spoilt for choice.

A week at Langrigg Cottage
We enjoyed our stay. We were 4 adults and a 3 year old so there was plenty of room. The views were lovely, especially from the terrace, weather permitting. It was warm at all times and our wet weather clothing dried quickly in the utility room. The kitchen was well set out in a large social space. Although the cottage is close to a sewage works, there were no adverse smells and we appreciated the isolation and wonderful birdsongs. Overall, it was a good location for us.

Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review of Langrigg Cottage, it sounds like you had a fantastic week! Langrigg is a fantastic property for families, with plenty of space for all! Plus the views are spectacular. We look forward to welcoming you back on your next stay! Best Wishes, Keswick Cottages

We had a wonderful stay at Langrigg Cottage. Beautiful location with lovely mountain views. Very easy to nip into Keswick. Great interior with all mod cons, warm and comfortable. Would definitely be booking again. Thank you.

Thank you for your amazing 5* review of Langrigg Cottage, we are so happy to hear you enjoyed your stay! Langrigg has one of the most stunning back drops in the Lakes, with 360 views of Skiddaw, Grisedale Pike and all the surrounding fells. The property itself is ideal for families and groups of friends looking for a tranquil location, but with easy access to local amenities. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future! Wonderful views
The view from Langrigg Cottage is stunning, a week in February saw an amazing array of weather and light conditions making the fells look so beautiful. The cottage was very comfortable plus lovely and warm with under floor heating throughout. The kitchen had everything we needed, including decent wine glasses and plenty of room for food storage! The lack of light pollution made for great dark skies at night unfortunately we didn't get see the aurora but must be great spot for it. We definitely love to stay again and can highly recommend.

We're so happy you found the kitchen well equipped and had plenty of storage for your food. We agree that the views from Langrigg Cottage are stunning and offer some beautiful scenes of the surrounding fells. We bet you saw some wonderful dark skies despite not seeing the aurora, the star gazing must have been a highlight. We would love to welcome you back! Best Wishes, Keswick Cottages
