The warm and welcoming living room has two comfortable sofas, smart TV, and a lovely log burning stove perfect for cosy Winter evenings. The double doors open up into the dining area with standard seating for 6 people, though this can be extended if you are a group of 7. Off the dining room is the conservatory, with a selection of games and books for guests to enjoy, while overlooking the beautiful private garden. It is the perfect place to spend a peaceful afternoon with a good book.
The kitchen with breakfast bar is to the back of the house. The room is well equipped with fridge-freezer, microwave, oven, electric hob and a handy washing machine. There is a dishwasher, however you may find yourself volunteering to do the washing up just to admire the views!
For visitors seeking accommodation on one-level, there is a stylish ground floor bedroom with a double bed, built in storage and vanity table. Across the hallway from the bedroom is the modern shower room.
Moving upstairs, you will find the bright and spacious king bedroom with panelled feature wall. The room immediately feels comfortable and relaxing, yet practical with plenty of hanging and drawer space. Here you can enjoy views over the garden and fells beyond. The middle bedroom, with bunk beds, is one for our younger visitors. Each bedroom has quality mattresses, luxury bed linen and some towels.
If you're a group of 7, or just want some extra room, there is an optional fourth bedroom upstairs with a single bed. This room is offered at £50 for a short break and £75 for a full week (please add from the booking extras page)
There is also a useful WC with heated towel rail upstairs.
Guests at Fern Cottage can also enjoy complimentary WiFi, private parking on the driveway, and storage in the garage for any equipment, bikes, paddleboards, kayaks etc.
