Alternatively you can take a walk down the extremely popular Railway Line Trail to Threlkeld or jump on a launch and enjoy the beautiful surroundings from the lake. For stunning 360 degree views over the surrounding fells head up to the Castlerigg Stone Circle and take in the history of this 5000 year old natural attraction.
For family activities head down Fitz Park and try your hand at tennis, bowling, or take your bike for a spin on the BMX pump track! Take a stroll through the beautiful gardens at Hope Park followed by a game of crazy golf and an ice cream from Cafe Hope.
Feeling hungry? You will be spoilt for choice with locally sourced and award-winning food and drink from the traditional lakeland pub to bistros and restaurants.
