Description

Unique split level open plan living space with a superb and well equipped kitchen and dining area. Grand leather corner sofa and two easy chairs, wall mounted Smart TV, DAB radio, I-Pod docking station and solid oak dining table and chairs. Step down into the well equipped kitchen with Siemens integrated appliances, Tassimo coffee machine and ceramic hob.

The elegant master suite provides a king-size bed, high beam ceilings, built in wardrobe and en-suite with shower.

The second room provides comfortable twin beds, and step down into the third bedroom which also provides twin beds. Each room has solid oak furniture, luxury linens, and quality furnishings.

The bathroom is fully tiled and has shower bath with rainfall feature. There is a small utility area with laundry facilities. The owners provide complimentary WI-FI, Cole & Lewis hand soaps, and some towels.

Storage for bikes is available for guests staying on the Bridge House Complex on a first come first served basis - please contact for availability

Guests staying on the Bridge House Complex can also enjoy the large shared garden, and children's play equipment.

There are two allocated parking spaces. For additional parking please contact the office however these are subject to availability.

Keswick offers plenty of options to keep you occupied during your stay. For walkers the Keswick to Threlkeld Railway Trial which starts next to the Keswick Leisure centre is a 5 kilometre (10 kilometre there and back) walk along what was once a railway track. It offers beautiful views and is a multi-user trial suitable for pushchairs, wheelchairs and mobility scooters. If you fancy something with a little more elevation and spectacular views, Latrigg and Walla Crag can be reached from your doorstep, and you can even tick off some Wainwrights! 10 minutes out of Keswick is Whinlatter forest, which offers a huge selection of walks and outdoor activities.

Keswick itself offers lots of amenities, from shops to cafés, pubs to theatres, you will be spoilt for choice.

Our favourite place to stay
Another great week in Keswick, staying in Bridge House Apartment 3. Clean, cosy and warm, and very well appointed. Excellent central town location.

Great location with excellent facilities
Third time we have stayed in Apartment 3, very comfortable and well equipped apartment just off the centre of Keswick. Parking for two cars which is a major bonus and lots tables in a private garden to enjoy the sunshine (if you are lucky!) Exceptionally clean throughout and comfortable beds, the road noise is a pain but not unbearable, it starts around 0530 so something to consider for light sleepers. Keswick Cottages are very helpful and friendly if you have any issues or problems.

Cleanliness
I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the apartment. The cooker was horrendous it was full of crumbs and dirty marks. The dishwasher had dried food stuck to it so wouldn’t even attempt to use it. The kitchen sink was all marked and luckily we had brought some bleach. When we came to use the vacuum cleaner it wasn’t picking anything up. So my husband looked at the filter and you have never seen as much muck in your life. It came off in layers - disgusting. But what was worse was the amount of muck that came off the floors and carpets when the hoover did pick up the muck. We even tried the cylinder hoover and that was exactly the same. Also, The bedroom window wouldn’t open as it was painted shut. You ask for a £150 bond when in fact it should be us taking it from you. We will not be back.

We have extremely high standards for our guests; it is really important that you are comfortable in your accommodation. We are a small local company just down the road from the property, if you had contacted us during your holiday we would have made sure the points mentioned were rectified straight away. This particular property is cleaned and maintained by the owners, so we have passed your comments on, and I'm sure extra attention will be paid to these areas going forward. We of course hope you still had a wonderful time exploring Keswick and the beautiful Lake District.
