Overview

Mountain View is a fabulous penthouse apartment in the centre of Keswick commanding views of Skiddaw to one side and Borrowdale to the other. It is a fantastic two-bedroom apartment that offers the ideal place to relax with family and friends, situated within easy walking distance of Keswick Market Square and Derwentwater lakeshore. The apartment is spread over the top floor on one level, where guests are comfortably accommodated in the two tastefully styled bedrooms, sharing one family bathroom. Hosting open plan living, the well equipped kitchen is situated next to the large living area, with additional dining space. Essentials, such as cookwear and appliances, are paired with indulgent extras, such as a new espresso machine and a selection of espresso pods. The apartment is well stocked to make your Lake District stay a pleasure. Mountain View is the penthouse apartment in a small quiet block, and being on the top floor, may mean a healthy trot up three flights of stairs, but it certainly has the best views!

Description

Mountain View is a fantastic two bedroom apartment that offers the ideal place to relax with family and friends, situated within easy walking distance of Keswick Market Square and Derwentwater lakeshore. The apartment is located in Heads Road Court, a little hidden courtyard super close to the lake, but in the town centre.

The free, allocated parking certainly helps breathe a sigh of relief when you arrive. Mountain View is the top floor apartment in the small, quiet, block, which is half residential, half holiday accommodation.

Being the penthouse apartment may mean a healthy trot up three flights of stairs, but it certainly has the best views! You can’t beat the views of Skiddaw to one side and towards the lake and Borrowdale on the other. Don’t fear if you have outdoor equipment, or a big buggy, we have secure storage in the courtyard, where you can keep your things safe during your stay.

The apartment has a beautifully styled king-size bedroom, and second bedroom with a double bed plus one single bed making the property very versatile for different groups. The family bathroom, with shower over the bath, includes luxury bathroom toiletries.

Hosting open plan living, the kitchen has a fridge, freezer, double oven, five burner gas hob, dishwasher and microwave. In the large lounge area, there is a dining table for four, and a leather corner sofa with TV and DVD. There is gas central heating for the chillier months and a feature electric fire in the lounge area. We offer free, secure WiFi throughout the apartment.

Keswick offers plenty of options to keep you occupied during your stay. For walkers the Keswick to Threlkeld Railway Trial which starts next to the Keswick Leisure centre is a 5 kilometre (10 kilometre there and back) walk along what was once a railway track. It offers beautiful views and is a multi-user trial suitable for pushchairs, wheelchairs and mobility scooters. If you fancy something with a little more elevation and spectacular views, Latrigg and Walla Crag can be reached from your doorstep, and you can even tick off some Wainwrights! 10 minutes out of Keswick is Whinlatter forest, which offers a huge selection of walks and outdoor activities.

Keswick itself offers lots of amenities, from shops to cafés, pubs to theatres, you will be spoilt for choice.

Excellent base
We have used the flat for many years and can highly recommend it. Its recent refurbishment is very impressive. Plenty of exercise climbing the stairs!

Mountain View Stay
Really well maintained apartment, extremely clean and lovely to return to after long walks on the fells which can be accessed from the door. Parking space a bonus in such a central location and great views across to Skiddaw and Walla Crag from kitchen and lounge respectively. A bit of a challenge carrying luggage up to third floor but well worth the effort. Can also be quite noisy early mornings with bin collections and activity from Fell Pack restaurant on the bottom floor of the building but this did not detract from our stay. We have booked with Keswick Cottages on many occasions and have found them to be extremely helpful offering high quality holiday accommodation.

Excellent
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mountain View. The apartment is spotlessly clean, well equipped, very comfortable and most importantly for a winter break, warm! Perfectly located in the centre of Keswick, close to shops, bars and restaurants.

Great location right in central Keswick with access to lake, shops, restaurants etc all on doorstep. The furnishings and fittings were of a high quality and well laid out. I loved the luxury feel of the bedsheets and the huge soft towels. The Nespresso style coffee machine was great. Some capsules provided but not enough for us coffee lovers. The mountain view from the windows was great. I would definitely book again.

We have stayed at Mountain View in Keswick numerous times, the apartment is ideal for central Keswick, as long as you don't mind climbing a stairs this is a lovely apartment, very spacious, I would recommend that anyone booking a holiday in this area to go through Keswick Cottages the service is brilliant.. we would not book through any other agent. Would recommend a stay in this beautiful apartment with stunning views.
